No, I am not an entertainment blogger. However, Peter Boyle was one of those actors I loved and I was sad to hear he had passed away.
Most of you may know Peter from his role as Frank Barone, Ray’s Dad on Everybody Loves Raymond. My favorite role of his was from Where the Buffalo Roam which is in my top five flicks of all-time.
Here is the Wikipedia entry describing the film: “Where the Buffalo Roam is a 1980 comedy film based on a number of semi-biographical stories by author Hunter S. Thompson. Bill Murray portrayed the author and Peter Boyle portrayed Thompson’s attorney, Carl Lazlo, Esq., who is loosely based on Oscar Zeta Acosta”.

If you have not seen the film, it is Bill Murray at his finest (besides Caddyshack). Boyle is Carl Lazlo, that is how I will always remember him.
UPDATE: I almost forgot… Peter also played The Monster in Mel Brooks classic Young Frankenstein.
